WoW...Moving is FUN!

Sorry I haven't posted since Tuesday, but it has been a ZOO! We got in fine Tuesday. I have the cutest picture of the boys on the plane, but I can't locate my adaptor right now and this computer doesn't have a memory card slot. I'll post it later. Wednesday the furniture came in and it took all day to get it in. Thank goodness we had movers, but we still had to move some things, and mark things off, etc. Just a little side note. DON'T USE ALLIED TO MOVE YOUR THINGS!!! I won't get into here, but that just reminds me to set up a rant and rave section. Ok, on to Thursday. Dad had to go to a meeting, so I was at the office unpacking while the vent guy came and installed another vent in the conference room, and the electrician guy came and installed a plug on a wall that just had data/voice ports. Friday mom dropped me off at around nine and picked me up around 3:30. I was tired of unpacking by then! The boys had a great day. They got some new toys and a ball to play in the sand in the back yard. So much fun that SAMMY fell asleep in the back of the car on the way home from picking me up! That NEVER happens! Ok, now that you are all caught up with what has been going on here, I will move onto today. I have no idea what is happening today. There, you know everything I do.(Which isn't a whole lot!)

Some exciting news! Laura Grace is FINALLY home! On that note, please keep her and Aunt NeeNee and Uncle Larry in your prayers. They had to take Laura into the emergency room last night because she had a high fever that they couldn't get down. I will keep you posted when I know more info. The joys of parenting have begun.

More tomorrow.

One Day and Counting

Well...tomorrow I leave for 3 weeks to go to CA with the boys. David is staying here and working insane hours while we are gone. So, things are insane around here. I am trying to do laundry, pack, and get all the last minute stuff done. I cut both of the boys hair last night. I will post a picture later after I get them dressed! Nathan sat so still! I was impressed. I didn't do so well on his because I was trying to hurry before he lost interest. It is too short in the front and a little long in the back still. But, fortunately it doesn't look too bad.

Oh, I called on the 4 minute workout and they have monthly memberships of $50 for 1 person or $80 for two people. I don't know, it is kind of tempting. They give you a free one week trial to see if it is for you. We'll see when we get back. Just thought I would keep you posted.

Well. More tomorrow!

Weight, or Wait

Well...as most of you know I have struggled with my weight for a lifetime! I have been working out here at home on an elliptical machine. I don't see a difference. I heard about this new machine that is a 4 minute workout, but is as intense as a 30-45 minute workout. I of course am skeptical. I am interested in seeing how much it costs, as well. There is a business right down the street that offers this 4 minute workout. I will call them tomorrow and let you know what I think. So the question is do I continue with what I have been doing (wait) or do I try this new 4 minute thing that is supposed to lose the pounds (weight). Please leave comments as to what you think, and I will check them. Some people have polls up on their sites. I haven't figured those out yet. To be honest I haven't tried. This is easier for now.

Today, I would like to report that Nathan again slept through the night until 5:30! He then got up for good at 6:45! Not bad! Hopefully he will be in good spirits for church. He loves going! We say, "It is time to get dressed for church." And he goes and gets his dress shoes on and his bible. He forgot he needs dress clothes, too. He is too cute! Sammy enjoys going to church and hearing new stories and worshipping. He is a theological buff! I need to get studied up for him! Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday. More tomorrow!

Saturday, Yard day

Well..update on Nathan's sleeping. Unfortuantely, I have to report that he did wake up a couple of times last night. But, David was gracious enough to get up with him. (thanks!) David also let me sleep in. Nathan slept till 7, which was great, but I got to sleep until 8:45! I don't know how long it has been since I have slept that late!

Today was filled with yard work! The boys (including David) and I went out back and played. Then while the boys continued to play I sprayed for weeds! Those things are horrible this year! I then cleaned 3 of the 4 sides of the house with the Windex outdoor cleaner. That stuff works GREAT! I ran out before getting to the 4th side. That was a bummer!!! We then went over and saw David's Aunt and Uncle (who are staying at Judi's house for a while) and I mowed while David weed-whacked. Uncle Don entertained Sammy with all the bells and whistles on his van, while Aunt Pat chased after Nathan. I told her she would probable need a nap after all that! We then went to Home Depot (one of my favorite stores) and got more weed killer and more house cleaner. I hope to get the 4th side done before we leave. I already have a laundry list of things for David to do while we're gone. I don't want to add more! We got home and I got the front side sprayed for weeds. That spraying is no fun!!! I hope that I am able to get the back sprayed for bugs tomorrow.

Well...I don't know that you wanted a play by play of today's happenings, but you got it! hee-hee. I hope to write more tomorrow!

Miracles DO Happen!

I can not believe it, but Nathan slept ALL NIGHT!!!! Not one peep! Wow! I just can't believe it! David, of course, had an early morning, so I was still up early. But, it is amazing how much more rested you feel when you are able to sleep through out the whole night! AMAZING! I am glad I was rested today, because it was a busy day! Cleaning day, remember! I also had to finish touching up my hair, and computer issues for others, and etc.....

I'll let you know tomorrow if Nathan surprises me again! Oh, wouldn't that be wonderful if he started sleeping through the night. I mean, it is about time. He's almost 2! More tomorrow!

Happy 10th Anniversary!

Then, June 21, 1997

Now, June 21, 2007

Well, we have accomplished a milestone very few people accomplish anymore. We have been married 10 YEARS! We celebrated by going to Denver earlier in the month and while there we went to the Boulder Dinner Theatre and Elitch Gardens. We had a great time!

ALOT has happened in 10 years. As you can see we have had 2 beautiful, healthy children that we are very proud of! We have lived in 3 different states, and we just bought our first house 1 year ago.
So, happy 10 years and counting!

New Day, New Color

Howdy everyone! I hope everyone has had a great day! I decided to color my hair blonde today. The boys both have my hair color, but since having children and growing older it has turned darker. The haircolor is ok, but I have to do some touch up! It is now just a little darker than Sammy's. I got all the laundry done yesterday, with the exception of putting away one folded load. That makes for an easier day today. Grocery shopping is later and since the boys and I will be gone for 3 weeks I don't have to get a whole lot of stuff. That is good for timing and the pocket book! You know me I am already planning out what to pack even though we don't leave until Tuesday!

Exciting News! Our church that we have been going to is going to Israel next May. Oh, how would have loved to have gone, but 14 days is a long time away from the boys at this age. David and Judi have decided to go, though. I am so excited for the both of them! It will definitely be a life changing experience. I hope that the church decides to do another one in 5 years or so, and maybe we all could go! That would be awesome! I hope everyone has a great hump day! More tomorrow!

Sleep...Who Needs Sleep?

My sleep deprivation began Saturday evening. I was tired from the day at Six Flags, and being the night before Father's day, I got up with Nathan so David could sleep. We normally take turns, but it was all me. Of course, he woke up 3 times and then finally got up at 6:15am. I did not sleep well Sunday night, just couldn't sleep. We got up early Monday morning to call China and check on Laura and how things were going. (I am happy to report all is well.) Then, for whatever reason, Nathan was up every 10 minutes from 2Am on last night. David had an early day today, so I tried to get up with him as much as I could. David got up with him at 4am and turned the monitor off so I could get a little sleep. (Thanks dear!) Nathan got up at 6:15, again. So, again, who needs sleep? You will see the latest pictures from yesterday's post, and I have put up the web album with the rest. I hope you all have a restful day! Not me, you know today is Tuesday....Laundry day!!! More tomorrow.

Nathan before we got out of Denver.

We had a great time at Six Flags over the weekend! Sammy and Nathan had a blast. It was sooooo hot though. It was in the 90's, which is hot for us! I have added a web album on the right with more pictures of Six Flags.

David had a good Father's Day, I hope. He got breakfast in bed, and his gifts. Then we went to church and lunch. I think his favorite part of the day was sitting in his chair with both boys watching the U.S. Open on TV.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! More tomorrow.

FRIDAY, YEAH!!!

I hope everyone has had an awesome week! It has flown by!! Sammy has been having a great week at VBS, and Nathan has been enjoying mommy time and time to himself.

Tomorrow we will be heading up to Elitch Gardens as part of David's Father's Day gift. I think it is more for Sammy, but as most of you know, being a parent is a selfless job. Sammy keeps asking me if it is time yet. When do children develop a concept of time? I know we work on it in his schooling, but I think it is just one of those things that finally click. An Ah-ha moment. I will be glad when he Ah-ha's!

I hope you all have a great weekend! I hope to have more pictures up tomorrow.

My Princes

Would ya hurry up and take this stinkin' picture!

Like my hat, Mom?

Well, as you can see we went to Burger King yesterday. My princes had a great time! Then we ran all over creation doing errands. When David got home we went to my favorite store of all times, Kohls! I think Sammy grew over night! I was so embarrased to send him to VBS yesterday with high waters on, but those were the longest pants he had and it was cold yesterday. They weren't that bad, but of course I noticed! We went and got him some new clothes and then I got to come home and wash them so that he could wear them today to VBS. You know how much I love laundry! Today is going to be catch up day and prepare day for cleaning day tomorrow. Should be loads o' fun! I hope everyone has a great day! Grammy, Aunt NeeNee, and Uncle Larry we are praying for you!

Grocery Day!

Well...laundry day is over! Now onto Grocery shopping day. I am trying to figure out how to work it around Sammy's VBS and Nathan's nap. As you also know I am a planner and so I of course am trying to work this out in my head. Anyways, Sammy had a good time at VBS yesterday! I was glad to hear that! Sammy also went to his first class in karate with his yellow belt. He was so excited! You know when you blog everyday you run out of things to talk about. I am sure you are not interested in every second of our day, so I won't bore you! If you would like I can publish my grocery list...nah, that would be boring, too! Well, how about some pictures. That works!

Positive Attitude

Well, that is what I am trying to keep! Several things yesterday and this morning have tried every ounce of patience I have. I want to try to keep this blog positive and up beat, so I won't go into everything here. I am considering, however, starting a separate section called Rant and Rave. This section would be a place I would rant and rave about companies, products, and issues that I am dealing with.

Enough of that, I will get on with the positive stuff. Yesterday, Sammy had fun at VBS. We had a good time with Grammy at lunch and on the drive up to Denver. We had a good dinner at Olive Garden. And, I had a quite ride home, because Sammy rode with Daddy. It was nice to be able to sing and not be interrupted every 5 seconds. (I love you, Sammy) Nathan was dead asleep, and after about the 3rd song of me blaring at the top of my lungs, I turn around and check on Nathan (who was asleep during the first 2 songs) and his eyes are as wide as saucers just starring at me. I am laughing just writing about it! I am not a bad singer, (so I tell myself) I just don't think Nathan has ever heard me singing that loudly before!

Well, as those of you who know my schedule Tuesday is laundry day. I am having a hard time with this interuption of taking Sammy to and from VBS, but it is only one Tuesday I have to do that. Next school year I may have to move laundry day because Sammy has school on Tues and Thurs for 3 hours. We'll have to see how that goes. I will post more pictures tomorrow, but for now...to the laundry!

VBS Week

Good Monday morning to everyone! We have a great week ahead, I hope! Sammy will be going to VBS this week so that should be a good time! Nathan and I will have some us time. After VBS today we are going up to see Aunt NeeNee so she can do my nails! They are in desperate need of attention. Below are some pictures I took of the boys over the weekend. They are just too cute. I had to share. Hope you all have a great week! I'll post more tomorrow.

Sunday Morning

Good Morning!

This will be a quick entry, because I am running late for church. Yesterday was BUSY! We did a lot of running around and then took the boys to see the movie Surf's Up. That was a really cute movie. For once in a long time a cartoon that was cute, didn't have any sexual references, no crude humor, and no political agenda. I actually enjoyed it. It was of course predictable, but was funny and had a good moral message. Hope you get a chance to go see it. Today will be another busy one. Church, lunch, yard work for my yard and Judi's, and of course I would like to squeeze in a Sunday afternoon nap! We'll see if that happens! Hope you have a blessed day! More tomorrow!

Yeah, Sammy is now a Yellow Belt! We had a fun time at graduation last night. It went a little long, but it was a good time. Afterwards, Sammy wanted to go to McDonald's and Dairy Queen. So, that is what we did! I have added a photo album on the right with all the other pictures from the graduation. Today, we have free tickets to Surf's Up and so we are going to take the kids. I'll let you know what I think tomorrow. Have a GREAT weekend!

Yellow Belt Graduation!!

Photo Sharing - Upload Video - Video Sharing - Share Photos

Well, here goes nothin'! Here is the video of Sammy getting his Yellow Belt. Sorry it is not a very good video, but David was in Romp-o-Room and was being attacked by little kids!

WE ARE SOOO PROUD OF YOU SAMMY!! WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH! !!

Graduation Day!

Graduation #1 of many, I am sure! Sammy is graduating from White to Yellow belt in Karate! Yeah! We are so proud of him!

As most of you who know me know that I am a schedule FREAK! I have certain days to do certain things at certain times. Well, Friday is cleaning day. So I have that to do plus getting Sammy's uniform cleaned and pressed. I was able to get the video camera and camera charged and ready to go yesterday, so that is done. Speaking of a schedule, I keep my kids on pretty tight schedules for sleeping purposes. Well, as you read yesterday Nathan was up half the night because of the terrible wind storm we had so he slept until 8:30-8:45 in the morning. Well, then he wasn't tired at 10 for his nap, so he didn't lay down until 2:30 in the afternoon. We woke him up at 5 for dinner. He didn't want to go to bed at 8 so he stayed up with us until about 8:45. He was bright-eyed and bushytailed at 4:30 this morning! AAHHH! We kept him in bed, telling him to be quiet every 10-20 minutes, until 6. I guess it is a blessing though, because it is now 7 and he and I have both eaten breakfast, I am almost finished with the posting for the day, and I can get onto my schedule for the day! YIPPEE! Sammy, of course, is still asleep. He usually is until at the earliest 7:30, at the latest 9:00. Sammy is definitely my sleeper! That's my boy!

Well, I hope everyone has a blessed day, and look for picutures and (crossing my fingers) video tomorrow of Sammy's graduation ceremony. Until Then!

Good Morning!

Well,

Thanks to the folks who viewed our site yesterday. I have now added a section on the right that will contain photo albums of events in our lives. In the last album, Sammy's Birthday Party, I have copies of those prints if anyone wants one. I believe that when you view the pictures you are able to order copies from the website, but I am not sure. But, don't order any for that album, because I have some. Please sign the guestbook so I know who has visited. Thanks!

Tomorrow will be a fun day for Sammy as he graduates from White belt, in Karate, to Yellow. He is so excited! We are so proud of him! He is doing a great job with it! I will video tape the graduation ceremony and try to upload it onto the site. The operative word is TRY!

Yesterday was a rather non eventful day. I am happy to report! It was sooo windy here that the mountains were covered by dust/dirt. It was really windy last night and Nathan does not seem to sleep well when it is windy. He was up every 5-10 minutes from 2:30 on. So, now he is sleeping and Sammy is as well. It is nice and quiet! What is the saying? Quiet before the storm? Ha-Ha, just kidding they are really good kids....most of the time. Well, I guess that is it for today. I'll write more tomorrow.

Howdy!

Well, this is my first post on our new blog spot. I hope to put a little something on everyday to keep family and friends up to date on our happenings! Bare with me, because I am new to this, but I look forward to getting into the 21st century with everyone else. Here goes nothing!
