Merry CHRISTmas 2007
We all have so much to be thankful for this Christmas! Let us not forget in all the hustle and bustle of this season, the true meaning of Christmas! Jesus came as a baby by humble means to save ALL of us! If you don't know Jesus as your personal Saviour, our prayer is that you will come to know him SOON!
Merry CHRISTmas everyone!

POTTY TRAINED!!
I am not kidding when I say that Nathan did this all on his own!! He grabbed the magazine and went to sit on the potty! He is going to kill me when he is older, but I just couldn't resist showing this! And the good news is...He went and is POTTY TRAINED!!! Praise the Lord! I don't have to change another diaper, EVER! Thank you Nathan!
Growing up!
Sammy going to California ALL BY HIMSELF!!

Sammy getting on the plane ALL BY HIMSELF!

Nathan realizing that "Bubba" is gone.
Well, we all survived Sammy's plane trip! He had a great time, and wants to go again! I don't know that I can handle another trip anytime soon! Thanks Uncle Odie, Jamie, MeMaw, and PaPaw, for taking such good care of my boy! He had a fantastic time!

Nathan's First Day of Mom's Morning Out
Of course, I am delayed in posting, but nevertheless, he had a GREAT TIME at mom's morning out last week. It was nice to have the whole morning to do school with Sammy and then I got to enjoy lunch alone. I didn't say one time, "Nathan, don't do that, " or "Sammy, eat!" It was very nice. He enjoyed sporting his Veggie Tales shirt and matching shoes. He was showing everyone!
Everything else is going well. Just busy! I'll write more later.

Happy Labor Day!
I hope everyone has a relaxing day today.
Sammy is sort of liking his enrichment classes. I of course am not completely convinced about it. We will see. Nathan loves his new Mom's Morning out class. We went for Open house and it was very nice. The room was large and had a little slide and playhouse in the room! It was Great! Nathan didn't want to leave! I just wish it started sooner!
We went to the Air Force game on Saturday! They looked really good! This should be a much more exciting season than last year! They also planned the night games early in the season, so it won't be soooo cold!
Sammy is LOVING swimming! He can't wait to go and asks all the time when is swimming again? He is now sticking his head under water! YEAH!! I am so glad he is not afraid of the water anymore! Now if we could just get him to not be afraid of riding his bike! I know, I know, one thing at a time. Sammy is also doing really well with Karate. We are working on the standing strong all the time, but overall he is doing well.
I hope to write again soon, but lately, we'll have to see!!!

1st day of 1st grade!
Well...It is officially underway! Sammy started 1st grade today. I think it went well! It didn't take as long as I thought, but today was more of an introductory day. Tomorrow he has his enrichment classes, so we will see how that goes.
Nathan is starting a mom's morning out on Thursdays. It doesn't start until the 13th, but it will be nice for both of us to get a little break. Well, I don't have anything else to write about, so I'll write more when I do. Have a great week!

Long time no Blog
Sorry folks! It has been crazy around here!
Nathan turned 2 on August 8th! We had a big shindig for him on Saturday, the 4th! He had a great time and got lots of great gifts! Thank you to everyone who made his day so special! We then had Laura Grace's 1st Birthday party on the 18th! She had a great time digging into her cake. It was a great time and she got lots of great gifts!
I have some great news for everyone!!! Nathan is now sleeping without his paci! I went cold turkey on him, and he is doing pretty well with it. He has his moments where he wants it, but overall is handling it well.
Sammy is in swimming in addition to Karate and is loving both of them! We start homeschooling next week for 1st grade! That should be fun! I am actually looking forward to it. Just keep us in your prayers!

Good Sunday Morning!
I hope everyone has had a great weekend so far. As you can see, no pictures yet. I don't know what my hang up is, except that maybe there are sooooo many!
I have been spending the last two evenings lesson planning for Sammy's 1st grade year. I hope all goes well! I still have A LOT more to do! But, the good thing is is that I LOVE to plan things! My prayer is that Sammy will enjoy learning this year, won't be bored, and won't be overwhelmed by the amount of school he will have everyday! According to my planning, we will hardly have any breaks if we want to finish by the end of May. We will get 3 days off for Thanksgiving, a week at Christmas, New Year's Day, a week in March for Spring Break. That is it! We'll see if we don't both burn out! I'll keep you posted.
I hope you all have a blessed Sunday, hopefully in a house of worship.

I'm Back!
Well.. I know you probably think I have fallen off the face of the earth, but I haven't. I am just trying to get back on some kind of schedule! Tomorrow (I hope) I will post some pictures. (I am too lazy to do it today.)
We had a great time in CA, but it is always good to get back home into your own bed and surroundings. I finally got to meet Laura Grace (Janeen and Larry's little girl from China)! She is the cutest thing! So quiet! (Well, anything is quiet compared to my two talkers!)
I went and got Sammy's homeschooling curriculum yesterday! I can't wait to find some time to plan out the year! That is my favorite thing to do, organizing!
Well, we go up on Monday to find out what Janeen and Larry's baby is going to be. Yes, she is pregnant and has just adopted a 10 month old. This should be fun! I kind of hope that have a boy, because they are so much fun. But, I kind of hope it is a girl so they don't have to deal with all the mischievous boy stuff! They will have a great time either way, I am sure.
Well, tomorrow I hope to post pics of six flags in ca, Laura's homecoming, and Laura and the boys playing in our backyard. We will see.

Happy 4th!
Well... I just want to start off by thanking all of our military and their families for all that they do! Thank you for our FREEDOM!
This week has been CRAZY! We are almost done setting up the office and now we are diving into all the administrative stuff that we are so far behind on. It has been kind of nice to work again. I miss the kids, but it is nice to be out in the real world again. It has been nice to have mom watch the boys! She has been doing the laundry and everything! It is like there is 2 of me. Wouldn't that be nice! I think we are going to go in today and finish up the office and then grill out and fireworks with the boys tonight. I am hoping to get some pictures. If I can post them I will!
I hope everyone has a GREAT 4th!
More...tomorrow?

WoW...Moving is FUN!
Sorry I haven't posted since Tuesday, but it has been a ZOO! We got in fine Tuesday. I have the cutest picture of the boys on the plane, but I can't locate my adaptor right now and this computer doesn't have a memory card slot. I'll post it later. Wednesday the furniture came in and it took all day to get it in. Thank goodness we had movers, but we still had to move some things, and mark things off, etc. Just a little side note. DON'T USE ALLIED TO MOVE YOUR THINGS!!! I won't get into here, but that just reminds me to set up a rant and rave section. Ok, on to Thursday. Dad had to go to a meeting, so I was at the office unpacking while the vent guy came and installed another vent in the conference room, and the electrician guy came and installed a plug on a wall that just had data/voice ports. Friday mom dropped me off at around nine and picked me up around 3:30. I was tired of unpacking by then! The boys had a great day. They got some new toys and a ball to play in the sand in the back yard. So much fun that SAMMY fell asleep in the back of the car on the way home from picking me up! That NEVER happens! Ok, now that you are all caught up with what has been going on here, I will move onto today. I have no idea what is happening today. There, you know everything I do.(Which isn't a whole lot!)
Some exciting news! Laura Grace is FINALLY home! On that note, please keep her and Aunt NeeNee and Uncle Larry in your prayers. They had to take Laura into the emergency room last night because she had a high fever that they couldn't get down. I will keep you posted when I know more info. The joys of parenting have begun.

One Day and Counting
Well...tomorrow I leave for 3 weeks to go to CA with the boys. David is staying here and working insane hours while we are gone. So, things are insane around here. I am trying to do laundry, pack, and get all the last minute stuff done. I cut both of the boys hair last night. I will post a picture later after I get them dressed! Nathan sat so still! I was impressed. I didn't do so well on his because I was trying to hurry before he lost interest. It is too short in the front and a little long in the back still. But, fortunately it doesn't look too bad.
Oh, I called on the 4 minute workout and they have monthly memberships of $50 for 1 person or $80 for two people. I don't know, it is kind of tempting. They give you a free one week trial to see if it is for you. We'll see when we get back. Just thought I would keep you posted.

Weight, or Wait
Well...as most of you know I have struggled with my weight for a lifetime! I have been working out here at home on an elliptical machine. I don't see a difference. I heard about this new machine that is a 4 minute workout, but is as intense as a 30-45 minute workout. I of course am skeptical. I am interested in seeing how much it costs, as well. There is a business right down the street that offers this 4 minute workout. I will call them tomorrow and let you know what I think. So the question is do I continue with what I have been doing (wait) or do I try this new 4 minute thing that is supposed to lose the pounds (weight). Please leave comments as to what you think, and I will check them. Some people have polls up on their sites. I haven't figured those out yet. To be honest I haven't tried. This is easier for now.
Today, I would like to report that Nathan again slept through the night until 5:30! He then got up for good at 6:45! Not bad! Hopefully he will be in good spirits for church. He loves going! We say, "It is time to get dressed for church." And he goes and gets his dress shoes on and his bible. He forgot he needs dress clothes, too. He is too cute! Sammy enjoys going to church and hearing new stories and worshipping. He is a theological buff! I need to get studied up for him! Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday. More tomorrow!

Saturday, Yard day
Well..update on Nathan's sleeping. Unfortuantely, I have to report that he did wake up a couple of times last night. But, David was gracious enough to get up with him. (thanks!) David also let me sleep in. Nathan slept till 7, which was great, but I got to sleep until 8:45! I don't know how long it has been since I have slept that late!
Today was filled with yard work! The boys (including David) and I went out back and played. Then while the boys continued to play I sprayed for weeds! Those things are horrible this year! I then cleaned 3 of the 4 sides of the house with the Windex outdoor cleaner. That stuff works GREAT! I ran out before getting to the 4th side. That was a bummer!!! We then went over and saw David's Aunt and Uncle (who are staying at Judi's house for a while) and I mowed while David weed-whacked. Uncle Don entertained Sammy with all the bells and whistles on his van, while Aunt Pat chased after Nathan. I told her she would probable need a nap after all that! We then went to Home Depot (one of my favorite stores) and got more weed killer and more house cleaner. I hope to get the 4th side done before we leave. I already have a laundry list of things for David to do while we're gone. I don't want to add more! We got home and I got the front side sprayed for weeds. That spraying is no fun!!! I hope that I am able to get the back sprayed for bugs tomorrow.
Well...I don't know that you wanted a play by play of today's happenings, but you got it! hee-hee. I hope to write more tomorrow!

Miracles DO Happen!
I can not believe it, but Nathan slept ALL NIGHT!!!! Not one peep! Wow! I just can't believe it! David, of course, had an early morning, so I was still up early. But, it is amazing how much more rested you feel when you are able to sleep through out the whole night! AMAZING! I am glad I was rested today, because it was a busy day! Cleaning day, remember! I also had to finish touching up my hair, and computer issues for others, and etc.....
I'll let you know tomorrow if Nathan surprises me again! Oh, wouldn't that be wonderful if he started sleeping through the night. I mean, it is about time. He's almost 2! More tomorrow!

Happy 10th Anniversary!

Now, June 21, 2007
Well, we have accomplished a milestone very few people accomplish anymore. We have been married 10 YEARS! We celebrated by going to Denver earlier in the month and while there we went to the Boulder Dinner Theatre and Elitch Gardens. We had a great time!
ALOT has happened in 10 years. As you can see we have had 2 beautiful, healthy children that we are very proud of! We have lived in 3 different states, and we just bought our first house 1 year ago.
So, happy 10 years and counting!

New Day, New Color
Howdy everyone! I hope everyone has had a great day! I decided to color my hair blonde today. The boys both have my hair color, but since having children and growing older it has turned darker. The haircolor is ok, but I have to do some touch up! It is now just a little darker than Sammy's. I got all the laundry done yesterday, with the exception of putting away one folded load. That makes for an easier day today. Grocery shopping is later and since the boys and I will be gone for 3 weeks I don't have to get a whole lot of stuff. That is good for timing and the pocket book! You know me I am already planning out what to pack even though we don't leave until Tuesday!
Exciting News! Our church that we have been going to is going to Israel next May. Oh, how would have loved to have gone, but 14 days is a long time away from the boys at this age. David and Judi have decided to go, though. I am so excited for the both of them! It will definitely be a life changing experience. I hope that the church decides to do another one in 5 years or so, and maybe we all could go! That would be awesome! I hope everyone has a great hump day! More tomorrow!

Sleep...Who Needs Sleep?
My sleep deprivation began Saturday evening. I was tired from the day at Six Flags, and being the night before Father's day, I got up with Nathan so David could sleep. We normally take turns, but it was all me. Of course, he woke up 3 times and then finally got up at 6:15am. I did not sleep well Sunday night, just couldn't sleep. We got up early Monday morning to call China and check on Laura and how things were going. (I am happy to report all is well.) Then, for whatever reason, Nathan was up every 10 minutes from 2Am on last night. David had an early day today, so I tried to get up with him as much as I could. David got up with him at 4am and turned the monitor off so I could get a little sleep. (Thanks dear!) Nathan got up at 6:15, again. So, again, who needs sleep? You will see the latest pictures from yesterday's post, and I have put up the web album with the rest. I hope you all have a restful day! Not me, you know today is Tuesday....Laundry day!!! More tomorrow.

Nathan before we got out of Denver.
We had a great time at Six Flags over the weekend! Sammy and Nathan had a blast. It was sooooo hot though. It was in the 90's, which is hot for us! I have added a web album on the right with more pictures of Six Flags.
David had a good Father's Day, I hope. He got breakfast in bed, and his gifts. Then we went to church and lunch. I think his favorite part of the day was sitting in his chair with both boys watching the U.S. Open on TV.
I hope everyone had a great weekend! More tomorrow.

FRIDAY, YEAH!!!
I hope everyone has had an awesome week! It has flown by!! Sammy has been having a great week at VBS, and Nathan has been enjoying mommy time and time to himself.
Tomorrow we will be heading up to Elitch Gardens as part of David's Father's Day gift. I think it is more for Sammy, but as most of you know, being a parent is a selfless job. Sammy keeps asking me if it is time yet. When do children develop a concept of time? I know we work on it in his schooling, but I think it is just one of those things that finally click. An Ah-ha moment. I will be glad when he Ah-ha's!
I hope you all have a great weekend! I hope to have more pictures up tomorrow.

My Princes
Would ya hurry up and take this stinkin' picture!
Like my hat, Mom?
Well, as you can see we went to Burger King yesterday. My princes had a great time! Then we ran all over creation doing errands. When David got home we went to my favorite store of all times, Kohls! I think Sammy grew over night! I was so embarrased to send him to VBS yesterday with high waters on, but those were the longest pants he had and it was cold yesterday. They weren't that bad, but of course I noticed! We went and got him some new clothes and then I got to come home and wash them so that he could wear them today to VBS. You know how much I love laundry! Today is going to be catch up day and prepare day for cleaning day tomorrow. Should be loads o' fun! I hope everyone has a great day! Grammy, Aunt NeeNee, and Uncle Larry we are praying for you!
